Trauma Healing Intensive (3 day)
How Unresolved Trauma Shows Up
Trauma rarely announces itself directly. More often, it shows up sideways — in the patterns we can’t seem to break, the relationships that keep hurting the same way, the reactions that feel too big for the moment. If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and it’s not a character flaw. It’s an old wound still asking to be witnessed.
Unresolved trauma can look like:

Low self-confidence
- Chronic anxiety or recurring depression
- Persistent feelings of shame
- Negative self-talk
- A harsh inner critic, or a sense of never being quite “enough”

Overreacting
- Or under-reacting to life events

Distrust
- Difficulty forming secure relationships
- Negative self-talk
If you’ve ever felt “stuck,” overwhelmed by your emotions, or disconnected from your true self—there is a reason. And more importantly, there is a path forward.
What You Will Experience
Through guided trauma education, meditation and grounding practices, a family genogram, lifespan trauma and attachment-wound exploration, and reflection on Pia Mellody’s five core issues, participants gain insight into how past experiences may continue to influence their relationships, emotions, beliefs, and sense of self. Experiential activities—including therapeutic art, journaling, letter writing, and Empty Chair work—provide avenues to express emotions and grief that may be difficult to put into words.
A central focus of Resilient Heart is helping women address the powerful impact of shame, vulnerability, grief, and unresolved resentment. Drawing from Brené Brown’s work on shame resilience and Forgive for Good, participants explore how shame and grievance stories can keep them emotionally connected to painful experiences and discover healthier ways to respond. The intensive does not ask women to minimize, excuse, or forget what happened; rather, it creates space to acknowledge the pain, grieve what has been lost, reclaim personal agency, and begin developing a more hopeful and resilient story for the future. The experience concludes with a meaningful closing ceremony and individualized aftercare planning to help each woman carry the work of the intensive into her life beyond the three days.
